Why combine PDFs
Sending one file is simpler than sending five. Merging lets you bundle a cover letter, resume, and references into a single application, gather invoices for one month into one record, or assemble chapters into a finished book. A single PDF is easier to email, print, and archive, and the reader sees everything in the order you intend rather than juggling separate attachments.
Order and arrangement
The order you add files is the order they appear, and you can rearrange them before merging so the introduction comes first and the appendix comes last. Each source PDF keeps its own page count, so a three-page and a five-page file become one eight-page document. Nothing is re-rendered, so text, links, and bookmarks survive the merge intact.
Quality is preserved
Merging copies pages exactly as they are rather than re-encoding them, so there is zero quality loss. A 300 DPI scan stays 300 DPI and selectable text stays selectable. The combined file size is roughly the sum of the parts, which you can reduce afterward with a compressor if the result is large.
Local and private
Merge PDF assembles your files in the browser using WebAssembly. The PDFs are read into memory, stitched together, and returned as a download. Nothing is uploaded or stored, so even confidential paperwork can be combined safely. The merged file exists only on your device.
