Why split a PDF
Sometimes you only need one chapter, one invoice, or one signed page out of a long document. Splitting lets you extract that section instead of sending the whole file. It is also how you break a 200-page scan into manageable parts, separate a merged batch back into individual records, or remove confidential pages before sharing.
Pages versus ranges
You can split into single pages, producing one file per page, or define ranges such as pages 1 to 5 and 6 to 12 to create grouped sections. Range splitting is ideal for separating chapters, while single-page splitting suits extracting individual forms. The tool reads the page count for you so you always know the valid range.
No quality loss
Each extracted page is copied exactly from the source, so resolution, text, and layout are identical to the original. A selectable page stays selectable and a 300 DPI scan stays 300 DPI. Because nothing is re-rendered, splitting is instant even on large documents and the output files are as crisp as the input.
Processed privately
Split PDF runs in your browser with WebAssembly. The document is read into memory, the chosen pages are copied into new files, and those are returned as downloads. Nothing is uploaded or retained, so sensitive paperwork stays on your device. When you close the tab, the file is gone from memory.
